We had a lovely selection of fabrics from Westfalenstoffe arrive on Friday and Nancy has put together some gorgeous Christmas bundles. What I love about these fabrics is the simple Scandinavian print, they’d make lovely table runners, napkins and Christmas decorations.

Here is our second ‘time friendly’ project, for this you’d probably need a couple of hours altogether, but perhaps if you don’t have that time in one block you could cut the template and fabric in the evening and put together the garland in the day. Here’s how…
Cut you chosen template out of card (we used a simple bird design, but you could do Christmas Trees, mini stockings or hearts – the list is endless!). Select the fabrics you want to use, scraps come in very handy here, cut 2 pieces of fabric for each bird.
Place the fabric right sides together and sew around leaving 1/2cm seam, leave 5cm gap for turning right way. So you get a nice shape, snip around any curves or points, careful to avoid your seam. Turn right side out and stuff with wadding. Hand sew to close. Finally stitch your birds to ric rac or ribbon and voila!
We used our Scandinavian Christmas Bundles for the garland, unfortunately we’re out of stock at the moment, but they should be back in the shop by Friday.

These gorgeous Christmas decorations and cushions have been produced by Lindsey and Helen, the duo behind the Suffolk based interior furnishings company – Rendall & Wright.
I love that all 3 cushions really compliment each other, they would look great together on a sofa. Lindsey and Helen used fabrics from our Alexander Henry ‘Farmdale’ collection. I thought the cushions looked so plump and sumptuous – a tip from Lindsey is to use a feather cushion pad a couple of inches bigger than your cushion cover to achieve the same look.
Who wouldn’t want one of these hanging from the Christmas tree filled with chocolate coins?! The girls made these lovely cone Christmas decorations using a range of fabrics from our Funky Christmas range.
If you’d like to meet Lindsey and Helen and see their gorgeous range of goodies they will be at the following festive fairs in Suffolk:-

Calling all husbands, partners, brothers, sisters, Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles and children! If you need some gift ideas for the loved ones in your life, look no further – we’ve been busy designing these wonderful ‘Bundles of Joy’. Each bundle has carefully selected co-ordinating fabric, so you can be sure the designs and patterns really complement one another. They are wrapped in cellophane and tied with lovely spotty satin ribbon with a gift tag.
We’ve also put the bundles into themes, so you have an idea of the designs in each bundle.
These beauties will be launched on Monday and to see the arrival into the shop we’re holding a giveaway, check back on Monday for details and to peek at our new gift!

Apologies for the break in blogging, we’ve been so busy getting orders out that unfortunately something had to give, so without further ado here is the Fabric Rehab news…
We’ve added some delightful Lecien dots and florals to the shop, a welcome addition to any fabric stash.
