Mary Fellows aprons, tote bags and tea towels
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

We have some lovely new gifts in the shop designed by Mary Fellows, Aprons, Shoppers and Tea Towels with ‘Made in England’ and ‘Make do and Mend’ printed in great colours. I think the Make do and Mend shopper would make a great place to stash your fabric! Why not treat the man in your life to a Made in England apron, put your feet up and let him cook you a treat!

Lots of lovely stuff!
Monday, July 20th, 2009

Our Saffron Criag fabrics have arrived and boy oh boy were they worth the wait! You will find them in a new category ‘New Designers’. These designs are sold by the metre, the smallest piece you can buy is a quarter metre, if you wanted 1/2 metre uncut just add 2 units to your basket, if you want 1 metre uncut add 4 units to your basket – couldn’t be easier. The Fields Range (some of which are pictured) would make a lovely quilt, whilst the owl and tree designs are really fun – go on, I dare you to resist!

Bird Tunic
Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

My niece is modelling a very sweet tunic top made by my mother-in-law (thank you Rosemarie!). The pattern used was from the first issue of the new magazine SEW. We used Feathered Friends Yellow for the main body and Apple Dot Orange for the trim. Its quite a simple tunic to make and looks very summery!
