Birthday boy and dog

Where has the last year gone, Alfie turned 1 yesterday, it doesn’t seem possible.  We had a little tea party for him which he thoroughly enjoyed.  One of the highlights for him was playing with his favourite little tractor, as you can see, he is making ‘full-on’ tractor noises!  One of his presents from us was ‘dog’.  Alfies first word wasn’t ‘mama’ or ‘dada’, it was ‘dog’, so it only seemed right that he got a sausage dog for his birthday.  I used Farmdale Crosshatch Mustard for the body, Farmdale Blossom Red for the tail and Duck Egg Linen for his ears.  When Alfie saw him he ‘arrrrrred’ him with a big squeeze – sweet!

Happy Birthday to Alfie, they grow up so quick.
I’m not surprised he liked the sausage dog, as he’s so so cute, I love his nose and tail.

Have just discovered your site whilst looking for fabric for my christmas card backdrop…a family tradition with our ever increasing family…just the baby and dogs though! My little girl turns one next week so it was lovely to read about Alfie’s special day. I have just started a photography company so it’s really encouraging to see you have been able to keep your business going whilst having a little person and not losing your mind!

Will be back to look for more materials…I have deep quilting lust but zero ability!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

This dog is absolutley delectable, I think that my 18 month old may find a try at one in her stocking…looks just the right size to carry under arm. Congrats to Alfie!
